Fashion on a budget
When I’m planing my day time look I like to go for something comfy but still keeping it stylish at the same time and if you haven’t already guessed from the title, I also look for a bargain!
So how do we achieve all three you might ask?
It’s simple and it all comes down to planning ahead and having a few staple pieces in your wardrobe that you can pair with different items to create different looks.
- Price Around – One of the best pieces of advice I could give is to always price around if you’re looking for something specific. Most high street shops tend to sell more or less the same stock especially if it’s something simple like a white tee or nude heels. You’ll more than likely see that same pair of heels in Penney’s so look before you spend!
- Pick up as you go – I always try to keep an eye out in the shops for any possible bargains I might come across. The best things I ever got in the sales were on spec, random purchases. So if you’re passing by one of your fave shops pop in and have a nose, often enough you’ll come across a gem!
- Subscribe online – This has to be one of the easiest ways to snap yourself a bargain and you can do it all from the comfort of your sofa, sipping tea and eating lot’s of chocolate (yes please!) One of my favorite online shopping sites is OPSH, a one stop shopping destination that stocks all of your favorite brands from fashion, skin care and beauty. They constantly have sales, offers and discount codes across all brands. Sign up to their newsletter or follow them on social media to be up to date on offers.
The End Results
I have to say I am really digg’n the dungarees trend that’s going on at the moment, especially the variety of styles, colors and lengths they come in. I picked up this pair in New look for a steal at €29.99 and paired it with a simple stripped T-shirt from H&M – €7, shoes – €19.99 and the bag for €5, both from Penney (Primark). What I love about this look is how versatile it is and the different ways you can style it. I chose a dressy/casual outfit look which was the perfect outfit of choice for a catch up lunch with the girls but this could be dressed down with a pair of trainers, crop/turtleneck top and braids for a laid back, cool look.
