It’s been a while since my last blog post (story of my life!) I’m back now feeling very excited and have lots of ideas for some fun blog posts! Some very exciting news, I’ve finally started my own YouTube channel! This is something I’ve been thinking about doing for such a long time now but I kept putting it off. My first video has been uploaded so please check that out and don’t forget to like and subscribe 🙂 I’ll be doing lot’s of vlogs, fashion and beauty related videos with a little bit of randomness in between lol.
Now that we are into Autumn I thought my next video should be my current Autumn inspired everyday makeup. I’ve made a few recent purchases so I’ve got some newbies to show you all but I’m still using my drugstore holygrails 🙂
The newest member to be added to my makeup collection is the Esté lauder double wear foundation in Light colour 003. As I mention in the video linked above, this colour is a better match to my skin when I’m wearing tan but I usually bronze my neck to even it out. I’m loving this foundation, it’s so nice on my skin and I love that it doesn’t stick to my dry areas. I struggle to find a foundation that stays in place all day but this honestly doesn’t budge. If you are looking for full coverage I would suggest to go for the “All Nighter” instead of the light.
Personally I like that my skin shows through as I feel this is more natural and feels nicer on my skin however maybe for a night out I would go for full coverage. I picked this up in Arnotts for €40 but I feel that it’s great value for money and longlasting.
I would also suggest getting a sample before buying, I got a sample size in Boots before investing and it lasted me ages!
Another change I’ve made to my makeup routine is my eyebrows. I’ve been letting them grow out for a while now and it’s honestly killing me not being able to pluck! I seriously had an obsession, but my goal is to have big natural brows so I’m staying strong! My absolute life saver has been The Catrice brow pencil and setting gel. An added bonus, it’s very budget friendly! I will be getting my brows done in Benefit Brow Boutique really soon so I’ll let you know how they turn out 🙂
The difference this has made is amazing and it’s so affordable I’m so impressed.
Last but not least is another Essence favorite the transclusint setting powder. Definitely another amazing budget friendly product but still lives up to some of the higher priced setting powders out there.
What I love about this is that it is really light and doesn’t set into the lines under my eyes. To date I’ve never been 100% satisfied with my under eye area as I always feel that the makeup sets into the lines or the powder can make it appear more dry. This powder ticks all of the right boxes for me with price and quality.
On to lips and what truly gives this look an Autumn feel to it is the lipstick “rouge á levres 444” from Inglot. I just love this nude colour with hints of pink and light brown undertones.
This has been my go-to lately for rushed days when I want to look more put together. Paired with a soft brown eye and minimal makeup and you’ll be Autumn ready 🙂
Hope you all enjoyed this blog post, If any of you have any questions related to the products listed please feel free to tweet me @PrettyOnaPenny or any of my social media pages.
